Buck Leonard

Born in California, Buck moved to Eastern Idaho at an early age and has been a resident there ever since. He has been guiding on the South Fork of the Snake for over a decade and guides both trout and steelhead anglers. His demeanor and experience make him a great guide for beginners or experienced anglers alike.

When he’s not guiding on the South Fork, you can find him tying flies for his guides or hunting and exploring with his wife and two young daughters. He loves the outdoors and is always looking for new adventures, whether it’s fishing, hiking, hunting, or just spending time with his family. He enjoys bringing his clients to his favorite place in the world and hopes to have you join him soon!

While he has guided on the South Fork of the Snake and other local rivers, his passion lies in exploring other fisheries. He has a strong love for steelhead and salmon and spends most of his free time on the water searching for big, fatty rainbows. He also guides for trout in CA and Alaska during the summer months.

As a guide, Chase strives to give his clients the best experience possible. Whether you are on the river or in the lodge, his attention to detail and service will have you coming back for more. His love for the outdoors and a good laugh keeps him smiling through it all.

A native of Idaho, Jason is an accomplished fly and gear fisherman with over 20 years of angling experience. He has a strong desire to instruct both fly and gear anglers to improve their skills. He has a natural ability to connect with clients and helps them feel comfortable in unfamiliar situations. His happy attitude and easygoing approach make him a favorite among guests of The Lodge at Palisades Creek.
